Its just feminism based on the inauthentic Pericope Adulterae (see the NIV note IN THE BODY OF THE TEXT between John 7:52 and 53). Its so important you know its inauthentic that they put the note in the body not the footnotes. Yet pastors still teach this feminism and the “biblical” (corrupted bible that has the Pericope Adulterae) counseling movement is predicated on its premise:
Women cannot be punished for their sins, only men can. God alone can punish women because “let him who is without sin cast the first stone” when it comes to women. But anyone may punish a man, even if he isn’t guilty. MeToo is from the same theology (and yes secularism is from theology, from mainline Protestantism like Episcipalianism). Bring an accusation 50 years too late when no evidence can be offered and the man is destroyed without due process. But show the evidence of what a woman did 1 minute ago, “We reserve judgement; judge not; only God can punish women.”
