This is no different than the “Tough Love” parenting program that was popular in the 70’s. (http://www.toughlove.org.au/the-origins-of/) Here we are almost 50 years later and we are still having this problem with teens! If anything the problem has been exacerbated with the entitlement mentality of teens with their Xboxes and smartphones. The baby-boomers have enabled this issue by wanting to be the kids’ buddy rather than the parent!
It was about 2006 or thereabouts when I walked past the TV and this quack Phil was on. All I heard him say to a couple was that it was okay to bring in a third party into their sexual relationship. That was the first and last time I was interested in anything Quack Quack had to say, as that showed me again the roots of psychology…rotten to the core and at about the same level as the ACBC and its drivel.
