Paul's Passing Thoughts

PPT Response to Accusation by Alpha & Omega Ministries

Paul,

Your false blog title from December 6 was just brought to my attention. I am the one who answered your debate request and Dr. White never saw it. I explained why and was polite about it. I also left the door open for something in the future if your situation changes. To claim that “Dr. James White Backs Down From Public Debate’ is dishonest. I call on you to correct your article to reflect the truth of our exchange as well as my explanation for your lack of qualifications as well as my explanation for the need for having such standards.

Blessings,

Rich Pierce

Rich,

Words mean things. You are an authorized spokesperson for James White. You backed down from the debate in his stead. Let me demonstrate that: who did I offend? Who did I supposedly misrepresent? But yet, who is contacting me? See what I mean?

And in regard to dishonesty, let’s talk about that. Rich, we both know why James won’t debate me; there are things in the Calvin Institutes that he can’t defend in public. Calvin would be exposed for the heretic that he truly was. My lack of Hebrew and Greek isn’t the issue, the fact that I don’t get into all of the election/freewill nonsense and focus on the theological math of Calvin’s gospel is the issue. Dr. White defending Calvin’s well documented Gnosticism would also be interesting.

Calvinism is a false gospel.

Since they cite the fact the you have no credentials, then if that’s the case then what do they have to lose in debating you? One would think that in their minds you would be easy pickings. Perhaps it is their own arrogance that leads them to conclude that a debate with you would not be worth their time in stooping down to one who is unlearned and ignorant (Acts 4:13)

      Andy,

Right, the Spiritual Caste from which all false religions flow is evident. Academia over the Spirit’s gifts. Christ wasn’t kidding when He emphasized the powerful dangers of the traditions of men.

Mr. Paul, so now your are having issues with the reformed baptist; you do not learn…you do not going to throw away 500 hundred years of sound doctrine, the reformation was in the XVI century, are you going to make another one in the XXI c. Please God to rescue His people from the RCC. you need to learn the calvin’s doctrine; this an excerpt from a very good web site:
    http://www.prca.org/pamphlets/pamphlet_33.html

“The truth is never popular. We are, however, not concerned with what is popular, but with what is right. The truth of Scripture is one thing. What men would like to be true is another. The question is, Are we willing to be bound by the Word of God? no matter what the cost? Too few are willing to be that self-denying. The hatred of the natural mind against God is such that though a man be shrewd, intelligent, and able to see the arguments on both sides, yet he will not admit the fundamental doctrine of absolute sovereign grace to be true; or, if he know it to be true, still he refuses to receive it. If an angel from heaven were to stand before him, and declare that God redeems both objectively and subjectively only His elect people, and that Christ Jesus prays not for the world, but only for those the Father gave Him, such a (natural) man will not, cannot believe it. This whole system of truth is contrary to the old nature; it is the opposite to what men think to be in agreement with justice and experience. So that the many who hate this doctrine are always ready to oppose it. Therefore also comprehended under the brand of Arminianism are the following evil forms of the same proud heresy: Universalism, Romanism, Pelagianism (naturalism), Socinianism (modernism), Amyraldianism (synergism), Baxterianism (hypothetical redemption), New School Presbyterianism (religious humanism), etc. Calvinists, then, are the most hated people in the universe! We know this from Scripture, reports, history, and personal experience.
But this does not change the eternal purpose of God. For “the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, the Lord knoweth them that are His” (II Tim. 2:19). Suppose every preacher in the U.S.A., or in the world speaks the very opposite to these points! That means, humanly speaking, we are in a very, very unpopular minority. But, with God and His truth on our side (or rather, we being on His side), we are on the side of the majority! Finally, it is our calling to preach that which God has clearly revealed. We cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.”

Any Baptists who claim to be “reformed” ought to be ashamed of themsleves. Calvinists have murdered and tortured numerous Baptists, Anabaptists, Quakers, and others of the last 500 years.

Look out Paul, all of the “doktor” James White fanboys are going to be coming here soon to defend their guru.

      Ryan,

None of them have a leg to stand on. And there isn’t a Calvinist on the face of the earth that is going to debate anybody who can read from the Calvin Institutes. I mean, Calvin stating that sins we commit as Christians separate us from salvation. If your defending Calvin, what do you do with that? And then the idea that those sins have to be forgiven by an elder in order to keep your salvation. Really? If I am in a debate with someone and I am reading that word for word in the CA, what are they going to say?

500 years of what? Most of that was a state church and a bloody evil tyrannical mess. Where did Europe end up? I will never understand why folks cannot see this? Willful ignorance? Love for tyrants? They want to be today’s tyrants? What is it?

Thank God for our Founding Deists!

They seem to be dwindling as Peter Lumpkins noted recently than they were from years past. But he is able to find young skulls of mush who think vitriol is apologetics. Have you all seen some of his insults toward Muslims who engage him?

Speaking of credentials, James has some degrees from unaccredited institutions. Paper mills. Why?

Lydia, it was James White’s viciousness (and those of his followers) that led me to question Calvinism in the first place.
