We all know that church is a business, but why is the church industrial complex fraught with more scandal than most businesses? Because the law is a primary focus of the church, and we know what the Bible says about the law; it empowers sin, unless it is properly understood. And there is no place on earth where the law is more misunderstood than church. For hundreds of years the church has insisted that the standard for justification is the law rather than the new birth. If perfect law-keeping is the standard for justification, so-called “Christians” remain under the law’s condemnation resulting in enslavement to sin.  Pray tell, what better describes the church when you consider its perpetual trending scandals?
