Somehow I don’t think that’s a true quote of Luther they gave there. Reminds me of the fake Buddha quotes on the internet. Either that or Luther was contradictinf himself because he says of baptism and the Lord’s Supper in the Larger Catechism “Baptism and the Supper, without which there is no Christian.” So he did believe the Gospel tells you something to do. Or at least sometimes he did. You know, when he wasn’t drunk like he was when he wrote On The Bondage Of The Will (as Erasmus pointed out in Hyperaspistes). But when was Luther not drunk? He liked his sins like his drink: strong.

Also, Ken includes a hashtag containing the word ecclesia and does not have a clue as to what the word means. Reforming the so called church is the problem, I want the no temples and no monologue by a talking head version.

Good to hear from you Alan; indeed, the church is an institution, not a family, defines truth as authority, promotes progressive justification, presents itself as a mediator other than Christ, and is not salvageable or savable.

Thanks Paul I appreciate that you keep things moving in a biblical direction (truth) and take on the “Reformed” (traditions of men that negate the word of God) and other sons of Augustine.
