Wait, per this guy’s presentation the “law of God” is merely to not eat of the tree in Eden, and Jesus had to keep that for us…so he’s saying we’re all eating of the tree constantly and can’t stop. Lol.
Aside from that, the problem is this presentation is so complicated with twists and turns, and its what you will inevitably end up with if you’re trying to harmonize all of Paul’s different and competing metaphors into one presentation…complete mush.
Also, as “gospel” is supposed to mean “good news” there is another problem: That God was so unjust as to hold us accountable for an ancestor eating a stinking fruit when he was told not to (the equivalent of a child taking a cookie from the cookie jar when told not to) but now is gonna be nice and not condemn us for what we had nothing to do with (if we will jump through all kinds of ridiculous mental hoolahoops)….that’s just plain not good news…its fake news.
Thank you for the excellent video! This may be a bit of a tangent but while watching you video it struck me how many of the issues you discuss are intertwined with the protestant doctrine of Penal Substitutionary Atonement (PSA). Warren McGrew on his YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/IdolKiller) did a five part series on PSA last fall with Paul Vendredi. If you have time you may want to check it out, I think you will find it interesting.
