Elitists Don’t Hold Americans in “High Regard”
More than a present struggle against “leftist ideology” in our day is a struggle against elitism. Wikipedia has a good definition of it:
Elitism is the belief or notion that individuals who form an elite—a select group of people described as having an intrinsic quality, high intellect, wealth, special skills, or experience—are more likely to be constructive to society as a whole, and therefore deserve influence or authority greater than that of others. The term elitism may be used to describe a situation in which power is concentrated in the hands of a limited number of people. Oppositions of elitism include anti-elitism, egalitarianism, populism, and political theory of pluralism.
Nothing personifies the above definition more than Kamala Harris. I believe this is one of many reasons that the Biden/Harris ticket will be soundly rejected in November. It would seem that circa 2016 marks a time in American history where the people of this nation are beginning to understand what makes the political elitist class tick, and they by no means like what they see.
For the most part, the American media has lost all creditability, but because they are one of the pillars of the elitist class, they are unable to discern that to be the case. Even on Fox News, they continue to point to the national election polls with no mention of how wrong the polls were in 2016. Yes, elitists think the commoners are that stupid.
In Kamala Harris’ debate with Mike Pence last week, she exposed the fact that she doesn’t even believe Americans are smart enough to use Google. She totally made up history out of whole cloth and thought she would get away with it. In fact, the RNC gang didn’t even bother to make an issue of the event, apparently, knowing the the absurdity of it was self-evident to everyone watching. I will close with a Face Book screen shot that states it well:
