The church as a moral authority? Surely you jest. Of course it’s all about money. The men and women who cry “Lord, Lord” seem like upstanding “Christians” from all outward appearances. The seventh chapter of Matthew is there for good reason. When a well-known Protestant clergyman calls upon a Catholic bishop to excommunicate a “Catholic” governor for signing into law a bill that makes infanticide perfectly legal (and something to be celebrated) ….. God help us all. As I see it, “the church” has become synonymous with EVIL. And on a related topic (money), what exactly is Franklin Graham’s salary and benefit package as chief of Samaritian’s Purse? Who knew that being a member of the clergy was such a lucrative profession?

It is disingenuous at best for Graham to on the one hand reject the authority of the Catholic church and then turn around and call for that same church to revoke one’s salvation.
