Does Suicide Send You To Hell?
I don’t need 4-plus minutes to answer this question.
The answer is not complicated. It is not an “ultimate act of lack of faith”.
Mr. Zacharias says he does not have a definitive answer to this question, and that is unfortunate because the answer is quite simple:
Suicide does not send a person to hell.
Being under law sends a person to hell.
~ Andy
“Suicide does not send a person to hell.”
I’m very glad to be in an agreement with you Andy on this one.
“Being under law sends a person to hell.”
I think we can all agree that anyone who lives under the law is already in their own personal hell. They’re not living their life out of the relationship with the Father, the Son & the Holy Spirit. Instead they’re living being motivated by fear of eternal punishment.
Now, why would we tell those who already live in fear of eternal punishment that there is a place, in their future, that is so bad that most likely they will want to take their own life? I mean is the hell that we already see people groping through around us not BAD enough? We look around and see this world full of zombies that are starving for a loving affection. And those with a deadened conscience are like vampires that want to suck all the goodness out of you with their unquenchable thirst.
Doesn’t the Spirit within us groan to see so many blind & deaf who every day are lying to themselves?
That is why I agree with you that a suicide does not send a person to hell. Suicide, for the spiritually dead, is a way out of hell.

No, the answer is no. It may be horrible for those who are left in the dark and who don’t know the reasons someone might have done it, but the answer stays no. Once you’re God’s child through the New Birth, you stay His child. Yes, Andy, not being born-again sends you to hell (one’s own choice); under the law. Correct.
Sadly, I have seen people shun the memorial service/funeral of someone who had committed suicide. “He’s going straight to hell,” they whispered.
Pass the cough syrup, all 25 gallons of it.

An act does not send you to hell, especially if there is no law to condemn you for it.

So according to his Word, YOU can’t even pluck YOU out of His hand.
