“If a child is never chased to Sinai before being tenderly led to Calvary, that child is on his/her way to carnality, not Christianity.” This is the garbage Todd Friel let loose on the unsuspecting viewers of his Twit-feed on August 7. How many blatant errors in one sentence? S-H-O-C-K-I-N-G; oh, but because of his Reformed/Calvinist leaning, he basically misunderstands everything and so it’s not so shocking, after all. It is expected.
“Chased to Sinai . . .?” What in God;s name shall we call that?

How about Wretched-when you’re going to hell when you believe a false gospel.

I get he’s saying that you can’t do a repeat-after-me maneuver on little kids. But these reformed types like to do their best Paradise Lost language in their Christian LARPing games. They go into religious-speak mode that shows that they don’t speak from their hearts, but from their guru idol worship.

Republican Mother; I hear you; I get you; I agree, but when I saw Sinai, I saw LAW. Years ago, I watched “Wretched” often for research reasons and its gospel presentation always started with the Ten Commandments and guilt-tripping second-to-none. In Friel’s quote above, he is also alluding to the Voddie Baucham/Reformed types’ false gospel/false everything about how kids are sinners, born that way. That’s cruel and blasphemous.

But Friel is also contradicting himself. “Being led to Calvary”? By whom? Thought that lot had all been elected and stamped on the foreheads before the Rocky Mountains had taken shape. Unless, of course, by Calvary, they mean something else . . . as is their custom (Houston or Atlanta or Beijing). Who knows?

I like your opening line; “How about Wretched-when you’re going to hell when you believe a false gospel.”

And “Paradise Lost language.” Priceless and funny.
