Paul's Passing Thoughts

The Feelings are Mutual: Protestants Hate God as Much as He Hates Them According to Orthodoxy

Posted in Uncategorized by Paul M. Dohse Sr. on May 4, 2017

“We are all just sinners saved by grace.” If you protest that common Protestant mantra you will be challenged with this rhetorical question: “Did you sin today?” However, there is debate within Protestant circles about the mantra, “God hates the sin, but loves the sinner.” A meme contesting that notion can be seen below.

HATE

However, if you consider the first mantra with Psalms 5:5, one could conclude that God hates everyone who sins which includes Protestants. The verse states that God hates “all” who commit sin.

And apparently, the feelings are mutual.

We are enemies of God. We are God ignoring. We are God defying. We hate God. (CJ Mahaney: Resolved Conference 2008).

Aside from the logical conclusion that God must hate Protestants because they are sinners and the Bible clearly states that God hates sinners, there is also this:

For, by nature, we can do nothing else but provoke God’s wrath; wickedness will always reign in us; and we are held down under the bonds and tyranny of Satan. (Calvin, Sermons on Ephesians, 1:1-3, p., 33).

We have shown already that we cannot be loved by God, but by means of his only Son. For if the angels of heaven are not worthy to be taken for God’s children except through a head and mediator, what shall become of us who do not cease daily to provoke God’s wrath by our iniquities? [Isa 59:2]. In fact, we fight against him! God, then, must of necessity look upon us in the person of his own Son, or else he is bound to hate us and abhor us. (Calvin, Sermons on Ephesians, 1:7-10, p., 50).

As to general election, there is the same difficulty to satisfy the judgment of men: for as we have already said, there is no difference between men but what arises from hidden election. (Calvin, Commentary on Malachi, 1:2-6).

So, regardless of all the love-bombing that takes place in church; in regard to orthodoxy, Protestants hate God and He hates them even more.

“…thou hatest all workers of iniquity.” (KJV)

“…You hate all who do iniquity.” (NASB)

Quite a difference there. I think that could be part of their problem. Dumbed down translations combined with lack of interest in context. There’s a clear distinction between doing iniquity and working iniquity.

Question: Who is a worker of iniquity per the context?

“5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.”

Answer: Its “the bloody and deceitful man” not the guy who didn’t take his prozac this morning so he’s a little grumpy. Not the dutchess who was topless with her husband when paparazzi stepped over the line and got a sneak photo. Not whatever else Protestantism generally wants to define it as.

“The foolish shall not stand in thy sight:..” (KJV)

“The boastful shall not stand before Your eyes;…” (NASB)

Also interesting. The foolish to me would include people who are always against boasting, even when its necessary and convenient.

The translations just aren’t dumbed down, the so-called “original” text is different in thousands of placed from the Syrian text. Not to mention large passages of scripture like Jesus ascending in Mark, the straightforward example of the Eunuch being saved, the woman caught in adultery, etc. are all gone and usually replaced with a bracket or asterisk and a footnote saying they weren’t found in all the texts, causing confusion and doubt.

By the way, I came across the funniest thing I’ve seen in taking on these fatalists: the Calvinist Christmas put on by Bro. Kevin Thompson and his family.

Before getting to this abysmal and idiotic stupid meme, let’s step back a little to the deplorable site that is responsible for this rubbish meme. It is called Psalm 82 Ministries, and what a load of hogwash and guano droppings it is. The owners of the site may, or may not (I don’t care) think that they are the “gods” (judges; “mighty ones”) God speaks of in this Psalm. That’s my conclusion; just an idea…for that’s what Calvinists/Reformed snakes think of themselves, anyway. The great defenders of … the false gospel. I feel like vomiting already.

    1) Under “What is the Gospel,” — http://unworthy71.wixsite.com/p82ministries/the-gospel — this lot starts the gospel after some mumblings of the moral law, yes, followed by the sinless perfection of Jesus Christ. Sigh. (Listen, Jesus is Jesus and has been Jesus, equal to God, from everlasting to everlasting. Jesus IS God. That’s the end of it.)

Now jump to the “Order of Salvation” (still under the “gospel”) and read the expected Calvinist/Reformed rubbish. Oh, but their “gospel” continues. Under “The Answer is Jesus Christ” there is this unbiblical, ungodly lie: “The message of salvation…in His perfect obedience to the law…” And then the false gospel ends with some campfire questions “for evidence of salvation.” And, of course, the last question to determine if you are of the faith or whatever they want to call it is this: “Do you persevere in doctrine?”

    What? Whose doctrine? Calvin’s? MacArthur’s? Reformed? Luther’s? Satan’s? James White’s? Sproul’s? Augustine’s?

    2) Anyway, in typical tyrannical fashion (do they know of another kind?) they also have a section called “P82 Bylaws.” Yes, there have to be laws, always. You gotta control the folk, so you can own them.

    Here it is: http://unworthy71.wixsite.com/p82ministries/p82-bylaws

Read Article II: Their purpose, and that will explain most of the madness of this deplorable site (“under the authority of local bible-believing churches.”) Ya.

Article III gives them away completely and exposes them as deceivers, liars, and teachers of a false gospel.

To spoil your day, even more, read Article IV concerning membership. It’s the rotten cherry on the rotten cake of Reformed rubbish. In it, there’s this friendly warning: “Members must be Trinitarian and hold to justification by Faith alone. While P82 Ministries operates intentionally from a reformed and confessional perspective, members do not have to agree on every article of the reformed confessions. Members, however, will not preach or speak in opposition to these confessions while working together as P82 Ministries.”

Draw your own conclusions about that line, won’t you?

    3) And just to get you on their side (an age-old MacArthur trick), they play on your emotions too, using abortion. The idea is that if you “agree” with their stance on abortion, then you MUST automatically agree with the rest of their rubbish doctrine. Well, rubbish. Abortion is murder, even atheists I know believe that.

May this site imploded onto itself and disappear down the nearest gutter.

About the meme itself. Anyone who quotes and claims the super rude and condescending James White as any sort of expert is bonkers. He is a spiritual turn-off and very, very creepy. And a glib deceiver and liar and pimp of a false gospel.
And to prove that they are clueless (as is every Calvinist/Reformed blog and site out there), “Reformed Cage” insists that “we” (who are “we”?) should start saying that God hates the sinner, and as Paul has pointed out, that …. smiles … includes themselves, because they are sinners by their own admission; just lowly no-good worms worthy of nothing but eternal punishment and flat Coke. One word? Stupid.

Once again, these false teachers don’t acknowledge nor understand the term “born-again” and what wonderful and eternal benefits it holds. Here’s just a few: No doubt, heavenly peace, reconciliation with God our Father, eternal life from the time of conversion, justification from the time of conversion, no more condemnation under the law, and NO more hatred from God, as we are now in His family. Do you hate your children? (If you do, you’re a disgrace to everything that breathes). We can now also freely present the Biblical Gospel that does not involve 29 imputations and gnostic happenings.

Their father, the devil, must be pleased with them. They can ask his representatives (workers of iniquity) on Sunday when they meet in his synagogue where they will be swapping Paul Washer DVDs, MacArthur quotes on how to shun your own children, the blasphemer RC Sproul’s (Snr) inspirational and “profound” books and when they can boast about how God just hates all those sinners out there…

The devil John Calvin’s “commentaries” in the article prove that Calvin was not of God. He thought of himself as a dog or something. He was right.

Thanks for the video. I am cracking up over the illustrations. Especially the free will, Calvin style, with the human in a glass box time out. And the Calvin bible with only Romans 9. Great teaching tool for kids and teens.

I watched a few of his other videos and appreciate that he focuses on “Calvinist argumentation tactics” of false dichotomies which lead to false premises. This has been my pet peeve from day one. The typical pew sitter who loves Jesus is not an expert on Mongerism or Synergy, Arminius or Pelagius. So these young arrogant pastors are using pseudo intellectualism and argumentation they learned in seminary to intimidate people into agreeing. When I figured this out after a long tine, I never allowed it to get past their premise which makes them crazy! They have no where to go but ad Hominem.
