You are saved at the “final tribunal” if you are of the perseverance class of elect. Protestantism completely excludes all assurance of salvation. In fact, a major tenet of Calvinism demands no assurance lest sanctification would be short-circuited by a ceasing for continued salvation.
He juxtaposes the “free will” of the papists with “they who are conscious of their slavery”. So…he basically claims that free will is a big fat lie, and the vehicle for this knowledge is his consciousness.
Um…if he’s a slave–which he defines essentially as having no actual free will (because it’s enslaved to sin)–then, how can he claim any conscious knowledge of his slavery? Consciousness implies that HE can be aware of something. But if he is entirely enslaved to sin, then he can’t actually know anything. Because in order for one to know something he must be able to discern truth from lie. Which one can’t do if his mind is enslaved to sin.
Calvinism offers only slavery and death. The devil Calvin says so in that picture. By his own admission, he is not “saved” (“conscious of our own slavery”). So what is he? If he were “saved,” he’d be free. Papists might have bragged about free will; I don’t know and don’t care about, but those who are truly born-again certainly do not brag of having a free will.
Calvinism, Reformed nonsense, and death are all synonyms. Look it up in the ESV. 🙂
According to god in the flesh Calvin, he is “slaved and delivered” at the same time? Sounds like a freakshow I want to miss. In case you don’t want to miss it, entrance is simply bowing down to the diabolical world of Calvinist schizophrenia. These ones meet on Sundays…simply follow the Mercs and the Hummers…and then listen out to for those sleazy, one-line pick-up lines at the snazzy coffee bar.

This is why Calvinism/Protestant thinking has no credibility if you dig into it. They contradict themselves all the time. The one thing I think the pontificators (Calvin, Piper, etc) do is rely on a sort of philosopher king position. As in, ‘God gave me this insight so I could convince you that you are unable to (fill in the blank)’.
So, in order to believe it, you have to believe your guru.

And Protestants have “The Means of Grace.” When we cornered BB at the Cross Conference he outright admitted its part of the salvation “process.” There is NO difference. BOTH deny the new birth as a state of being and invoke progressive justification found only in the institutional church.
Yeah, referring to it as a “process” and then denying they believe in progressive justification…do they even hear themselves?! I swear they just spit out words like a faulty A.I. There is no METHOD anywhere…no thought. Words are noise. Their evangelists are all just hand grenades lobbed at random…exploding in your face. All I want to do is run.

You are a classic Churchian.
First of all, you didn’t come here looking for clarity, you already know what you believe based on what preferred “experts” have told you. Secondly, you think you are always the smartest person in the room, because obviously, you think others and me are stupid enough to believe you came here looking for clarity. Thirdly, you came here to find fault, not clarity. Fourthly, you never address particular points of a view, but always pronounce a blanket unction that is either a thumbs up or a thumbs down based on the mantle of authority. What is the mantle of authority? Well, as a part of your man-worship, you believe everything you are told by the preferred experts minus any critical thinking, and, approach other views with the same authority, which you think you have because you sit under other authoritarians, viz, spiritual tyrants. In other words, you are a lower level spiritual tyrant who carries the mantle of authority from your rulers by proxy. So, you come here, and actually think that people will be swayed by your deceptive authoritarian unction. Lastly, you come here presenting yourself as an innocent seeker looking for objective answers, and your poor innocent soul is damaged by me because of my supposed inability to provide clarity. However, a cursory observation of the post reveals very clear points. Hence, this shows one of the classic marks of a spiritual tyrant, gaslighting.

His doctrine nullifies the relevancy of his doctrine.
