Right, a who’s who of Protestantism states it in broad daylight and nobody even blinks: Jesus had to obtain righteousness through perfect law-keeping. Whoa! Really? This is Paul’s specific contention in Galatians 3; this makes the law an additional seed, but “God is one.” God is the only life-giver and life sustainer. There is not a “law that can give life.” It doesn’t matter who keeps it. Moreover, salvation is an “eternal life” not a life sustained by a perpetual fulfilling of the law.
