Friel has a very sharp mind; it’s a pity he is wasting it on Reformed stuff and all its appendices and lies.

As an aside: Tell a Calvinist man he is a good person and he’ll pull the “No, I’m a lowly wretched creature that can do NO right; just a sinner saved by grace and a filthy rag.” Okay, then so you are.

But then, go and tell a Calvinist lady (single, of course, puppets of mine) that she is good/talented, etc., and she’ll blush and give you her email address, mobile number, and a sip of her coffee (no, I’m not talking worldly pick-up nonsense; I’m talking principle). I don’t get it. Wait, in fact, I do. Think about it carefully, won’t you? Yes, because no one ever tells her that stuff. If the man is a wretched piece of rock and gravel and who-knows-what-else, then what is the woman? NOTHING.
