Michael Horton gets away with saying that the reformed doctrines of TULIP are acceptable paradoxes because Jesus was both God and man ( a paradox). The Trinity is a paradox. God does things via paradoxes that man can not understand. Do you really want a God you can understand? To which I reply…why did God say He was knowable and wanted us to know Him?

Being interpreted: We can teach anything we want to teach and if it doesn’t make sense, it’s a paradox.

Horton practically says exactly that. It’s not understandable. Yet, that goes against the character of God

God is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, personal, eternal, immortal, sovereign, peaceable, holy, gracious, immutable, righteous, infinite, invisible, self-existent-good, sinless, loving, truthful, humble, triune, patient, just, merciful, faithful, moral, wise, knowable, kind, forgiving, generous…100% of the time. Reformed theology lies about God’s character.
