Andy’s definition of Holiness is rocking my world. It makes so much sense. It is not the opposite of sinfulness it is being distinct from place or thing that is common, ordinary and like everything else. (Set apart so to speak…because that would be set apart)

And what do we hear all the time at church? Sinners sin. It is normal. blah, blah, blah.

    Excellent stuff guys

Thank you for your comments. It is encouraging to me to know that this has been a blessing to you. This is what discipleship is all about: encouraging and edifying each other to that we are properly equipped to go out and give the words of life to a lost world.

I understand what you mean when you say “Andy’s definition of hoiliness”, but just so there’s no misunderstanding, I don’t want others to have the preception that this is “my” definition. I don’t want to presume to have any kind of authoriy when it comes to defining terms. All I want to accomplish is to make sure we are using words the same way God does.

    Totally understand that!

    Andy,

Your presentation shows the power of the grammatical hermeneutical approach to Scripture. Good grammar makes great theology!
