The James MacDonald White Paper: HBC Attempts to Expunge Infamous Church Discipline Video, Files Complaint Against PPT; Post 10 of 20

Posted in Uncategorized by Paul M. Dohse Sr. on October 2, 2013

Oligarchy LogoHarvest Bible Chapel has filed a complaint against PPT with YouTube claiming copyright infringement. The complaint concerns the infamous, and haughty video by James MacDonald and four of his elders. The Elephant’s Debt .com reported on the video here.

The validity of the complaint is very questionable, crippled PPT’s media operations yesterday (and continues to do so), and the information is being forwarded to our attorney. As far as we can ascertain at this time, the video was a public statement/announcement and not covered under copyright laws.

YouTube has a zero tolerance policy on filing false infringement complaints, but HBC uses Vimeo and would have little to lose in that regard. Furthermore, and also against civil law/You Tube policy, it would appear that the complaint was filed anonymously on behalf of HBC.

The video and the post have been pulled down from the HBC website. The complaint against PPT was filed after this took place, so it would appear that HBC wants to eliminate any documentation of the video. The question of whether or not an unpublished press release is covered under copyright laws will also be presented to our attorney. PPT has a standalone file of the video which slanders two former elders of HBC in a process that was blatantly unbiblical. Also, in the video, James MacDonald claims that the HBC elders speak for God Himself.

So, can that be copyrighted? How is that their own intellectual property? Legally, by James MacDonald’s own claims, can anything coming out of HBC be copyrighted? Are they not plainly stating that it is not their own intellectual property?

Hmm I thought the Bible prohibited lawsuits among believers. Quite interesting. Speaking for God yet acting against Scripture. The dichotomy continues to grow.
“Actually, then, it is already a defeat for you, that you have lawsuits with one another. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be defrauded?” 1 Corinthians 6:7 NASB

This series of progressing shenanigans by MacDonald and his yes men is nothing else but the judgment of God folks. The first thing He does with haughty and prideful is to confound their minds before He completely brings down the house of pride. This is done in your seeing and hearing.

I don’t understand why fair use arguments wouldn’t apply (criticism, commentary, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, or research) – MacDonald has no problem with people sharing videos of what he thinks is his good stuff. If he doesn’t want his videos shared, then don’t have the embed code…

    You asked the following:
    So, can that be copyrighted?
How is that their own intellectual property?

    You Tube:

Which types of work are subject to copyright?

When a person creates an original work that is fixed in a physical medium, he or she automatically owns copyright to the work. Copyright ownership gives the owner the exclusive right to use the work in certain, specific ways. Many types of works are eligible for copyright protection, including:

    – Audiovisual works, such as TV shows, movies, and online videos
    – Sound recordings and musical compositions
    – Written works, such as lectures, articles, books, and musical compositions
    – Visual works, such as paintings, posters, and advertisements
    – Video games and computer software
    – Dramatic works, such as plays and musicals

Intellectual property refers to creations of the mind – inventions, literary and artistic works, and symbols, names, images, and designs that are used in commerce.

Lol – did the elders speak their mind to make money for the church?
There was nothing intellectual about the content of the video…just sayin’:^)

I hope your attorney gets on this right away.

The theologian John Calvin stated “Man’s nature, so to speak, is a perpetual factory of idols.”
Mr.MacDonald is just trying to protect his kingdom and he will use whatever means he can to do so – lies, deceit, killing his neighbours.

When Calvin, the vile one, said that, he was talking about all of humanity including “Christians.” If you are citing Calvin as some sort of wisdom that explains MacDonald’s decadence, you are egregiously misinformed. MacDonald behaves the way he does because it is the logical outcome of Reformed theology. Those Calvinists who decry his Reformed malfeasance will not defy his authority for the sake of the same doctrine. The Reformed fall into two categories of despotism: those who behave in unseemly fashion and those who give permission while excusing themselves by tacit complaint. You seem to be the latter.
