Paul's Passing Thoughts

9 Marks of a Legitimate Pastor

Posted in Uncategorized by Paul M. Dohse Sr. on August 7, 2013

1. Recognizes a literal, future Jewish Nation on earth ruled by Jesus Christ on David’s throne.

2. Rejects Redemptive Historical hermeneutics.

3. Affirms the flesh as where sin resides IN us as opposed to being a realm.

4. Affirms the Spirit is IN us literally and not BY faith only, and rejects the Spirit as a realm as opposed to a person whom we are sealed by.

5. Rejects total depravity of the saints.

6. Rejects progressive justification.

7. Rejects sanctification by faith alone.

8. Rejects the idea that true obedience is only experienced and not performed by the believers will.

9. Affirms more than one resurrection and more than one judgment.

How refreshing! Not a mention or hint at authority, control, chain of command, sitting under. There’s no way this comes from the Bible, Paul. Don’t you know, the Bible should be examined through forensic “chain of command & authority” eyes. LOL

I see a lot of individual doing. I think it’s too, ummm, filled with hope. We can’t have that now can we? LOL

      AM,

What are the 5 most terrifying words in Christianity?

I’ll take a guess. Free will to follow Jesus?

Paul, Thanks for being the watchman for all this time. Your care for God’s people has been greater than for yourself. This is intense, as I am finding in what little I do. It is a tiring job. You need to take care of yourself. God wants us to rest at times & I sense you need rest right now, at least for a little bit. I am praying for you. There is much work to do yet.

Paul, you have my respect. You are an example of what it means to be a servant of the most high God. I thank God for you.

Anyone out there interested in moderating for Paul?

      AM,

Not yet. Thanks for your encouragement. The moderation job will be a pretty serious commitment and will require a relative understanding of “False Reformation.”
and “The Gospel; Clarification in Confusing Times.” Both were written by me. The moderator will not be required to be a PPT purist, and will exercise their own discretion within certain goals. The goal is to answer ideas with the authority of Scripture and relative philosophy interpreted grammatically. It can be a paying job as donations to TTANC allow.

The other answer: “We want to shepherd you.”

    A Mom,

I have met Paul and stayed with him during the TANC conference this year. I disagree with him in some things, but a better man you will not meet.

    He is worth listening to.

And his wife and kids make you jealous. Susan is as sweet as can be; and his boys are, in addition to being so cool and respectful, have probably a thousand girls beating down their doors. Too bad, though…one is married. LOL!

      Argo,

I am against censorship so I had to pass this on. It’s a tough job, but somebody has to do it! (P.S., thanks for the kind words Argo).

Argo, What a glowing endorsement. I think Paul & his wife Susan have many wise posts! They are a smart & mighty duo!

“Affirms the flesh as where sin resides IN us as opposed to being a realm.”

Or better yet that sin is an act rather than an entity, and that it is committed rather than resides in anyone, and that the flesh is the faculty by which it is committed.
