My friend, your logic is flawed. Not all “doing” is works. Choosing Christ is not a work. Choosing to remain in Christ is not a work. Equating the human will as “earning salvation” is the same argument the Calvinists have been making for centuries. If man’s will has nothing to do with the how of his salvation, then there is no man to save.
Paul, you cannot reconcile determinism with the God of the Bible. If man is “elect” as you define it, then sanctification is pointless. Human volition is involved in both, or they are both a lie.

You misunderstand my point. When justification and sanctification are fused together, everything is a work to maintain your justification because sanctification is the link to glorification. And Calvinists don’t believe in election. What they call election isn’t election.

You may chose not to post my comments. Your prerogative. I comment because I care about you, and pushing your false understanding of election destroys the rest of your message. If man’s election is determined, you separate man from himself and worse, God’s free volition from Himself. Know this: determinism is ITS OWN END. If mans election is determined, then Gods own will is determined. It is impossible to “freely” choose who will be “inexorably elect”. That is false. And I am slowly losing respect for your ministry. This may not mean much to you, but nevertheless it is unfortunate.

Election and freewill both 100% true is a paradox. And paradox is science as I will be discussing tonight at the Potter’s House. Paradox is not a metaphysical contradiction. It makes eternal security and hope possible.
