Counseling: Yes We Do

Posted in Uncategorized by Paul M. Dohse Sr. on January 28, 2013

conf-logoSusan and I are starting to get more inquiries about our informal/confidential Bible-centered counseling. This is something that we have never promoted, but it seems to be taking on a life of its own. We do this face to face, via webcam, or voice-only Skype/Oovoo. And it is totally free. You can also remain anonymous through many of these services (e.g., Skype).

Though I have two counseling certificates from NANC (level one and level two) we utterly reject the progressive justification construct of their counseling and that of CCEF. Susan and I believe Christians can really change, and that there is something we can actually do in regard to our problems. We believe that there are many biblical promises to be seized through knowledge and obedience, and the Christian life is much more than contemplationism.

Hey Paul, I would like to start counseling, especially with youth and young adults- where to start? what do I need to do?. I already have an RN degree, but that is about it- will be going to school this summer, Lord willing, for my degree in nutrition. I feel that Christian counseling in the “Grace perspective” is sorely lacking, so it is wonderful that you and Susan will be embarking on this journey- you guys will be in my prayers.

      t4h,

INS (Institute of Nouthetic Studies) has an online biblical counseling course. It’s the only one I would recommend. Thank you for your prayers.

….another possibility for you would be juvenile delinquency as they are open to anything that works and very practical in regard to helping teens because they have to live in the real world. Your RN would be most valuable in that regard for what would otherwise take you 8 years to break into.
