Funny thing…… I came up with these conclusions about Calvinism before I ever found this site.
This site actually reinforced what I already knew so Paul is not responsible for anything.
Here is what I say: I found out these falsities and lies through the power of the Holy Spirit guiding me to the truth in God’s Word. So if you want to blame, I think then you will have to square that up with God, not Paul.
I actually studied the Word myself without the infiltration of “notable” books and theologies of well known and celebrity pastors of our day choking out true discernment or wisdom so that the sheep remain dumb. So keep churning out the diatribes against Paul or anyone else who dares stand in your way- we know where we stand and happy to be there.

“…I have known hundreds of Calvinists over the years and have yet to meet one who believes what you claim…”

That may be true only because:
1> They don’t truly understand Calvinism themselves (willfully ignorant)
2> They are not willing to be openly honest about what they actually believe
    or
    3> A combination of both.

Thanks, but I find myself somewhat sad because of stinking American jurisprudence which will prevent me from obtaining the ultimate confirmation from these mystic despots: getting burned at the stake. Slander seems so boring in comparison.

What is hilarious about that comment is that the YRR, NC, NCT crowd is notorious for deleting or refusing to post contrary comments. I have seen the most irenic comments of docrtrinal dissent attacked for daring to disagree. Usually the attack is that the person is ignorant, does not understand, is a heretic, etc.

They are the most thin skinned group of non thinking people I have ever seen graduate from seminary. That is what “indoctrination” will do for you. They have to control the venue and when you don’t go along with their tactics of conversing, they insult. If they cannot control, they attack. It is all they know. They are playing by the liberal political rules. It is uncanny.

It is why the “nones” are growing.

Andy, The problem is “group think”. Outside their bubble they cannot handle real serious debate. They are also not prepared for it unless they control the venue and convo. When you take what they believe to it’s only logical conclusion (and history is a great example) they cannot handle it so they insult and attack.

They cannot admit that what they believe might not be right for many reasons. Some because it is how they make their living so how would you admit to folks you have taught you have taught them wrongly? Some like being a follower of men and others take comfort in it because it really teaches they are not responsible for anything. God preordained it all so whatever they say or do is from God. Does anyone really expect Mohler, Piper or any of the others to admit that the determinst god filter is wrong?

trusthimonly, I was actually researching the doctrines of grace because I thought it answered some of the questions I had about what was happening in the seeker world. I was leaning that way but my research, study and yes, the indwelling Holy Spirit showed me the darkness and fatalism of it. There is a willful blindness going on out there not to mention that a dead guy is being elevated to a status that only Jesus Christ should have in our lives. Calvinism and all it’s forms is really an elevation of man even though they claim different.

You gotta watch them. They use common Christianese words and redefine them without telling you. Like Sovereignty of God. Which means you are a puppet and God the puppeteer. A whole post could be done on what they have done with words like “all”, “election”, Gospel, Biblical, etc.

These gnostic tyrants alway resort to threats of eternal torment when their ideas are challenged. The irony is that it is their own philosophy which is a rope bridge over the lake of fire. It is not hard to see what will happen to them as they continue piling on the weight of their false authority.
