The shipwreck that exaggerated Calvinism leaves is not just a mild spot on the landscape of Christianity in the United States but seems to be rather extensive. Daily I encounter blind brothers and sisters in the Lord who believe they have found a gold mine of “smartest Christian in the room” theology and become experts in mouthing and supporting a certain theology and certain narrative instead becoming proficient in the Scriptures. It is so sad that this infection is spreading. Gospel mysticism, gospel sanctification, prayer centering, unbiblical views of divine sovereignty and the depravity of humanity from sin. They become sycophant children eager to show off what they believe are spiritual virtues in both leading vulnerable sheep with these kinds of errors and following such leadership. Thank you for your voice, Paul.
