Tim Keller’s  stature among New Calvinists is second to none, but yet this is common knowledge:   http://goo.gl/3kKXQ

Al Mohler and John MacArthur have known the following about CJ Mahaney for Months:    http://goo.gl/CsjnF    Mark Devers is in charge of damage control, and of course, there is this also:

The sgmsurvivors blog has been around for about 4 years. I have read over there off and on for these last 4 years because CJ Mahaney’s name kept being promoted in SBC circles.

The interesting thing about the blog is that former sgm’ers tht comment come from sgm churches all over the country. The same type stories were emerging so it was not just a problem in one or two churches but a systemic problem with what was believed and taught that manifested itself in practice. Such as victims of molesters being the same kind of sinner as the molester so they had no rights except to forgive immediately and focus on their own sin. Oh, and if they tell anyone what happened, they are gossips and divisive in the Body. (So other parents are not warned there is a molester in their church)

And CJ calls it the “Happiest Place on Earth”?

When one reads CJ’s background, one has to be astonished this guy has any credibility at all with the Reformed big dogs.

As one blogger put it: Can you imagine Mohler promoting a guy whose shepherding movement is called People of Destiny and the guy refers to himself as THE Apostle of that movement? Where there is a “prophecy mic” and people falling down in Holy Spirit laughter and convulsions? This was SGM before the Reformed swing….when Mahaney blackmailed Larry Tomcezk to get rid of him.

Lydia, Wouldn’t hurt my feelings a bit to get some links for section 3: “Character.”
