Paul's Passing Thoughts

Well, Pastors Won’t Preach It so…..[Video pulled down.]

Posted in Uncategorized by Paul M. Dohse Sr. on September 3, 2011

OK!, OK! I REPENT! A REALLY BAD IDEA TO MAKE A POINT. GEEZ, AT LEAST SHE DOESN’T PREACH THAT WE HAVE TO REPENT OF GOOD WORKS IN ORDER TO BE SAVED! BUT HEY–VERY ENCOURAGING TO KNOW THAT THERE ARE STILL SOME STANDARDS OUT THERE!

PS,

Did anybody contact her according to Matthew 18 before these comments were made? JUST KIDDING, JUST KIDDING!

    Tim

Piper & Mahaney at Resolve conference 2009. You can find them and then come back and tell us how damned does not really mean damned when they use it.

Alright, but there is no need to get snarky with me “Anonymous”. Paul, I sort of thought you might have been referencing C.J. Mahaney. Grace and Peace.

Tim, But remember Tim, Mahaney got it from Piper at the 2009 Resolve festival. He then changed what he was going to preach on and added to Piper’s earlier sermon. Mahaney got it from Piper the heretic.

“The reason no reputable pastor says the things she does is because she is a heretic and a nut z”

This got me curious so I went and listened to 3 of her “sermons” last night. A nut because she does internet church just hookking up believers to each other to show love to neighbors in their area? Or what? A nut because they fed 5000 meals to homeless people out of their tiny apt over the course of a year? They have a video of it.

Some of her teaching I thought was off because she claims she can preach because she is under the authority of her husband and that women must be under the authority of their husband because they are easily deceived. But this is a logical fallacy. What if your husband turns out to be an church going ax murderer? What if you are single? A widow?

And how can someone with the indwelling Holy Spirit continue to be decieved? Why does she think the Cross was not enough for women? Those are some questions based upon one sermon.

But, other than that the teaching is right out of scripture. She makes that very clear in every video I watched. She goes no where else but scripture. What makes her a heretic? Not that this is important to this blog but to come on and accuse someone of this without at least a link or reference is pretty unfair.

Her fat shepherd sermon was right on. But she left out the Nicolatians. The conquerer of the people. Those false shepherds who are seeking followers after themselves.

What I think is unfair is that I defended my statements of her being a heretic (I will grant that my nut comment was out of line) by quoting her unbelief in the Trinity and Lydia you yourself gave another example that she said that the cross was not enough for women, yet you still want to say that I am being unfair. Both of these statements are enough for her to be labeled a heretic (Biblically, not just from my stream of theology). We are so quick to want to label Piper, Mahaney, Sproul, et al. as heretics but not this lady? Come on, who’s not being fair now?

I came to this blog to read what I hoped to be an objective viewpoint and I see a Monica Dennigton video. This world has lost its mind. Monica Dennington is a bonafide heretic.

By the way – I have never heard one sermon from Piper, Duncan, Sproul, MacArthur, Mahaney, Harris etc. etc. etc. about how pastors should be rich.

Paul, for the record, I got the humor. Just wanted to respond to something that I felt was “unfair” 🙂 Grace and Peace.

Tim….Driscoll teaches that saved women are easily deceived. Lots of pastors teach this.

Jj……they don’t preach that…..they just get paid very well to do tons of conferences and write yet another book. Many try to hide their real wealth by driving toyotas. Guys like Mahaney and Piper make a ton Outside their church.

Tim, Let me explain what I had a problem with and why because it is important. You did not give any references or links to her teaching that was wrong on the Trinity. You were asking me to take your word for it. I had never heard of her before this and went and picked 3 random sermons which is not enough to know if she is a heretic or not.

However, and please understand this, I have been reading Reformed blogs for 7 years. Listening to Reformed preachers even longer. And if there is one theme that has been a staple, it is accusing others of denying the Trinity. Many times the accusation is “Open Theism”. And through lots of study and research, I found the person accused simply did not subscribe to another subtle REformed heresy of ESS. Then, after all these years of listending to REformed teaching, I find a glaring lack of any teaching on the Holy Spirit. So, I take the accusation of denying theb TRinithy with a grain of salt without proof.

    Paul,

Ok, I had the name wrong. It’s not Amy, it’s Monica Dennington. Oh well, doesn’t matter.

Here’s what I really wanted to say: Look, I don’t care what those guys say, I liked that video! Great Post! I am so proud of you for finding it, even if it was per chance. Thanks You!
