Sounds as if to me you people are personally offended by them. I wrote to one of these guys to confront him about things that had been reported and he answered me. BTW, Paul confronted Peter to the face. He didn’t carry on a crusade behind his back. It is easy to criticize and accuse a person when the person isn’t there to defend himself and state what he really believes. It doesn’t matter to you people what these people are saying. If you can twist their words to prove your accusations, it doesn’t bother you at all to do so. I have listened to Piper’s video about total depravity three times now and there is no way he is teaching that believers are totally depraved. If totally depraved people are unable to believe the gospel, [this is a classic belief of the Old Calvinists as well as the New Calvinists] then believers by virtue of the fact that they are BELIEVERS cannot be totally depraved. He is teaching that believers still have remaining sin and that is all he is teaching. Maybe he teaches differently elsewhere. I don’t know. Still, no one is presenting any evidence that he teaches the total depravity of believers.

Sounds to me like just maybe you people are peeved that you aren’t on stage.

“He didn’t carry on a crusade behind his back ”

A public blog is behind his back? And Paul wrote about it in a letter for people to read about for 2000 years.

“It is easy to criticize and accuse a person when the person isn’t there to defend himself and state what he really believes”

These guys have pulpits at their fingertips whenever they want them. All over the place. They can defend themselves on their websites, behind pulptis, at conferences, on their podcasts and even get a book published very easily. Poor them…so defenseless against us mean nobody bloggers. Get a reality check, Randy.

But what is interesting is when they dare to have question and answer sessions, the questions are almost always vetted first. And they know that 99% of the audience of usually pastors and seminary students are their fans or they would not have PAID to come there. Some easy life, I say. These guys rarely go into any situation they do not have conrol over. I know how it works because i used to set this stuff up.
