Perhaps you could tell me the difference between “grounded in” and “based on.” I frankly don’t see any difference. Additionally, what do you think GS people are saying if not that the finished work of Christ gives “assurance to the believer that the battle [the war] is won, and that he or she has all the resources they need in Christ to please Him?”
Further, I would like to know why you continue to quote, “old Calvinists” who agree with “new Calvinists” to show that the NC have departed from the OC? When do you think New Calvinism began? John Murray certainly seems to agree with the idea of gospel sanctification, but he can’t very well be a new Calvinists since he has been dead for a while. If you think Murray was teaching that believers are not involved in the process of sanctification, you need to read his chapter on sanctification in Redemption: Accomplished and Applied.
I know you feel [for some twisted reason] the need to continue find fault with men of God who are actually doing the work of the gospel, but you really need to get a grip.
“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.” By definition, an antinomian is one who is against law or one who thinks believers are not under God’s law. That simply is not my position. You have lied about me and others like me time after time. For this, God will surely judge you. You consistently misrepresent the views of godly men who simply have not written or said what you have accused them of. In the delete comment, I am talking about the posts I left here the last time I visited that you deleted.
Be careful about the F word, if you care anything about the Law of Christ. Your might just be in danger of hell fire.
If the men you mentioned believe that our sanctification was not accomplished by Christ’s redeeming work just as certainly as was our justification, then they are not Calvinists at all, old or new.
As I have told you numerous times, you need to find out what people are really saying and what the really believe and then react to that, not to what you want to impute to them without a cause.
The men you quote don’t need me to defend them. Some of them may believe some of the things you suggest, but I have read the quotes, and they simply don’t say what you claim.
In my opinion, you are a blight on the landscape of Christianity. I don’t know about your motives. Only God can judge those. What I can clearly read is your torturing of the evidence to try to prove your untenable position. I plead with you to simply react to what we say we believe. If we are contradicting the Scriptures, show us where we are wrong. And I know it is a novel thought for you, but you might want to answer the questions I posed above.
Yawn all you like. It is clear from you latest post that you are losing it. Anyone with any theological understanding whatsoever understands that the work of the other members of the Trinity, though essential to salvation, do not form the basis of our justification. In asserting that they do, you have shown yourself to be ignorant of biblical truth. Please get help before you embarrass yourself further. It is tragic to see someone as bitter as you trying to instruct others in the right way. Hope you treat your new wife better.

That’s the darnedest thing. For some time she has wanted to write an article for the blog. She is completely unaware of the latest volley going on here, but handed me an article to post yesterday. The article is about our relationship. So we will be hearing from her today on that.
It is a good thing she doesn’t know what a jerk you are. If she did, she would leave you too. I have met many nut cases over the years, but you take the cake. I just hope no one is stupid enough to take you seriously. God is going to judge you for your unfounded charges against his people. Just remember, Jesus told his disciples those who persecuted them would think they were doing God a favor. I know you think you are doing God’s work, but you are working for the Devil.
