A Kamala Harris Win Should be No Surprise

Posted in Uncategorized by Paul M. Dohse Sr. on November 2, 2024

I can’t be surprised if Kamala Harris wins. After all, despite the unambiguous history of the Catholic Church, more than 20% of Americans are Catholic. And despite the well-documented character of Martin Luther, about 40% of Americans are Protestant. Furthermore, despite the fact that Luther and Calvin were Catholic, and never left the Catholic church, and much of Protestant dogma comes from St. Augustine, also a Catholic, the two have been in constant war with each other throughout history. People in general, and Americans in particular, have an aversion to critical thinking. After all, thinking is hard work.

Well, a bad tree cannot bear good fruit but in our post Genesis 3 situation the fruit can be a delight to the eyes so we fall for the temptation to eat of it!

One wonders what fruit the American voters actually chose on Tuesday will prove to be like.

Living on the other side of the Pond I got up at 4.30 in the morning to watch the results. I’m glad Harris didn’t get it, but I can’t say the alternative fills me with much joy either.
