This picture says a lot! I enjoy tree, fruit, flower, seed type analogies. They are universally understood.
By & large, these are control systems that have historically born fruit of tyranny & terror (Augustine, Calvin, puritans, etc). It was & is slavery/ submission in a nutshell. These pastor/ elder “masters” do not want to let God’s people go or be free to make their own decisions. The internet is the modern day underground railroad to freedom out of this kind of slavery. It is a conduit of joining conductors (who may have been slaves) to church “slaves”. Grown adults are & should be running out the door.
