Paul's Passing Thoughts

There is a movement afoot for sometime now that would keep the Church in milk and wallow in immaturity. Don’t get me wrong, the milk of God is pure, wonderful and much needed. However, to remain on the milk of God’s Word is the goal neither of God for His redeemed ones according to His Word, nor of the Christian, or, at least, should not be.

Today, again, Paul Washer tweeted this oft heard slogan:

It is true that the angels knowledge of man’s salvation is incomplete, for they long to look into the mystery of salvation. (I Peter 1:12). Yet salvation for the Christian entails more than the initial Gospel, doesn’t it?

Please do not misunderstand me, we are indeed saved by God’s work through the preaching of the Gospel alone. True, and amen.
