“As long as our country knows where it came from and stay with the Christian principles that our Founding Fathers (who by the way were of different beliefs) laid down in the Constitution” (trust4himonly)
Thank God our country was NOT based on any form of Christianity but rather on Deism. Although a few founding fathers were nominal Christians of various denominations (emphasis on nominal) most were Deists. They believed in God but no in any religion per se. Thomas Jefferson and Thomas Paine (who wrote Common Sense) certainly were Deists, as was Ben Franklin. Franklin became a Deist earlier in life, and later in life started going back to church, but only because he thought his morality was slipping, not because he really believed in Christianity. If the constitution and dec of Independence and so on had been based on “Christianity” they would have given the government the right to search your house and see what religious books you owned, burn your books and maybe you too at the stake, and so on. Thank God for Deism.

Rey Jacobs,
Hi Rey. Your comments here have some merit, but for the sake of other readers here, I am going to make some things clear:
1. Comments are not posts that either give credibility or reject credibility.
2. PPT is not afraid of ideas, but may not post certain comments because this is not a platform for error. However, there is a ministry angle here as well.
3. This author believes firmly that the Apostle Paul’s writings were inspired as he was born along by the Holy Spirit and that his statements in Scripture represent God’s positions on life and godliness.
4. The Scriptures are God’s plenary philosophical statement to man concerning life and godlessness, and stand separate and in contention against every thought/religion/philosophy that opposes or contradicts it.
