It’s duplicity I cannot stand. ESPECIALLY duplicity that hides behind the good name of another man who was honest and forthright. In fact, I would have a discussion with John Calvin and ask him to take a look at some things I “think he missed”. I definitely believe in election. I definitely believe God is Sovereign. I definitely believe that all mankind fell in Adam and all according to the flesh are children of wrath. However, I do not believe that election is “unconditional”. That’s a philosophy of man. So, I’m not saying I 100% perfectly agree with every nuance of John Calvin’s thoughts. But, I respect the man greatly. *I can’t read anything about “New Calvinists” yet. Still inflames me. Outrages me that duplicity of arminiasm attempts to hide behind the name of Calvin and call itself “New Calvinism”.
