Paul's Passing Thoughts 
What an odd thing to say. It’s such a random, pointless comparison. What exactly is one supposed to do with it? And the insufferable hysteria…ironic in how blatantly self-indulgent. That he thinks he wins any spiritual points for this spectacle in God’s eyes is sad.

This video clip invokes many thoughts:
1. Jesus Christ is not just “one man”, he’s The Son of God. Comparing his worth in the balance with made things is nonsensical. Who’s making that comparison?
2. Drugs- the guy looks like he’s on something. Either he drank two pots of coffee, or he’s on steroids with all the raging over nothing.
3. Persevering your way to Heaven looks really hard. It’s not the look of someone with a light yoke.
4. This guy whines like a baby every time he talks. It’s so off-puttiing.
5. Clenched fists are not spiritual.

There was only one way for a guy like Washer to go when he burst upon the scene after missions 15 or so years ago with his first provocative sermon telling a bunch of youth at a conference they were going to hell. I wonder what happened with his move to Muscle Shoals and that church there? He abruptly left. I lost track of him. He became all about the emotion and hysterics with his form of Calvinism.

I am sure he appeals to some. Of course! Jesus the Son of the Living God is far and about any created thing. The man is passionate – that is clear. And by the way, the video clip above could not be shown. The one in the comments section of the other post, however, worked just fine. I guess the censors missed that one!

Soooo, my view is a little bit harsh. I don’t think his theater comes from the heart; he is all about the world thinking he is on some sort of higher spiritual plane than anyone else. I do know this from ministry insiders: he’s a total control freak and tyrant who gets physical with people. He, according to one whom I consider to be a person of upmost integrity, smacked a church member up the side of his head for criticizing a teacher. And like Argy, I think the illustration of God’s creation being worth less than the one who created it is a bit off the wall, unless you are of the Dualism ideology, which Washer is. He once stated that the gospel is infinitely unknowable which is a Gnostic point of view. Unfortunately, 5pointsalt.com is no longer online which documented many of these things about Washer.

Maybe you are being harsh and maybe not. I have listened/ watched a number of his sermons and the man has “the craft/ the art.” This is all about manipulation — emotional, intellectual and spiritual. Please know that I reject what he believes. Honestly, very little would surprise me as to what goes on in the institutional church. The exodus and decline of multiple church denominations speaks for itself. What happened to 5pointsalt.com?

This kind crying and blubbering became a theme in SGM…every single Sunday we’d inevitably be treated to some measure of maudlin histeria designed to make the congregation as uncomfortable as possible . Even then I wanted to vomit. Funny how we didn’t see any such display from the pulpit when it came to discussing, say, the RAPING OF CHILDREN IN THE CHURCH!! Nope. They all became stoics over night.
