Paul's Passing Thoughts

Behold, The Man-Worshiping Evil Church

Posted in Uncategorized by Paul M. Dohse Sr. on February 2, 2019

Phil Johnson of Grace to You ministries once accused me of hating church. Technically, that’s true. In the same way, I hate ISIS, but that doesn’t mean I hate every misguided sole that is a member (So, am I comparing church to ISIS? Pretty much…get over it). For sure, I wish salvation for everyone, even Phil Johnson.

Our new book, “The Church Lie and the Biblical Alternative” is pretty comprehensive, but needs to have two subjects added to its theses: the church myths of historical precedent and its supposed glorification of God alone.

Church is steroidal man-worship, and always has been. “For the Glory of God Alone” is just another church lie.

At least the Catholics do it right and in broad daylight with their patron saints and icons. Listen, if you must do church, be a Catholic, it’s a better system. Though utterly evil, it’s at least honest about where it stands, and most Catholics know what they believe, which is commendable. With Protestants, not so much. Nowhere on the earth is there a people group with more confidence in what they believe because some man told them so while being utterly clueless and completely comfortable with contradictions.

Below is a video that I stumbled across this morning which incited this post. While playing it, Susan walked past my office and asked who was singing and what it was about. I was like, “leave me alone I don’t want to talk about it.” And, perhaps, I should of allowed a cooling-off period before I wrote this post.

Amazingly, shockingly, astoundingly, stunningly, Churchians can watch this video on the one hand, and on the other hand travel from discernment blog to discernment blog crying out for answers and amassing a gargantuan body of ignorance and cognitive dissonance in an endeavor to save church. Of course, in the process, the bloggers become experts and a source of people-worship themselves. The best example is Deb and Dee of The Wartburg Watch, or what I call Wade Watch for reasons you know if you are regular readers here.

Church can’t be saved. It is an evil tree that will be torn from the earth by its roots when the Lord returns. When it gets right down to it, all you need is this video to make the point.

PS: Maybe this outrageous video will even resurrect our dear John from the other side of the world!

I was part of this church for 15 years.

    Yes. Yes I was.

Excuse me while I go kill myself.

I can imagine; I never went there, but even so, it’s tough to watch. You are just cringing the whole time.

Truly embarrassing. Except for CJ though. And that’s why it was allowed to happen.

Could it be that John came across this video first, and just blanked out? I’ve been wondering about John – hope he’s doing ok.

This one is off the chart to the point you’d think it was a parody video done by an anti-CJ group. It is reminiscent of the Jack Hyles video with the “we love pastor” song, but the full Broadway effect makes the man worship shine forth like a rotating mirror and laser show.

Talk about being punched in the gut. I followed the great Wade’s chivalrous defense of Dr. Klouda against Patterson back in 2007. (Wade is the master of the humble brag). Then last year when he and Ben Cole were coordinating the media political hit on the disgusting Patterson (in order to save Mohler/Moore), Cole attached Klouda’s legal testimony from her discrimination lawsuit on one of his blog posts. I read it and felt like I had been punched in the gut. I had been conned. AGAIN by the fakes. By that time I had already figured Wade out about 2009 but it was still unbelievable to read Klouda in a LEGAL testimony, testify that Wade publicly outed her without her permission! He was bent on getting Patterson, so he used her! At the time her husband was in bad health. He USED her.

Sad that TWW knows this And never called him out for it. One doesn’t our victims without their permission. She needed to support her family! TWW also helped Wade save JD Hall after his gang went after teenage Braxton Caner on twitter and he subsequently committed suicide. It no sense except they were Wade controlled . This is why the institutions are so corrupt. Wade had them wrapped around his little finger from day one. What a phony! Turns out the women weren’t so independent after all.

So TWW helped Wade save the SBC for Mohler/Moore (and ironically Mahaney) by being part of the coordinated hit on Patterson and JD Hall. All the people they had a problem with. They could have told Wade that if he included the decades of evil perpetuated by Mohler and co, they would help. But no. Patterson was an disgusting Admiral in a row boat and Wade wanted his hide as vengeance for the IMB trustee gig years before. Mohler/Moore still reign and put all their sins on Patterson. Wade even presented the SBC as now free of the evil. And TWW helped that charlatan!. But it’s ok. Dee is now Lutheran.

I have come to the conclusion they don’t want real solutions. It’s become a form of virtue signaling. But almost every blog like that I have seen since blogging evolved the same way. The same core of people repeating the same complaints over and over. I always thought the goal shoukd be helping victims become stronger. Financing trips to the gun range would be more productive for real victims than kevetching constantly how mean evangelicals are.

As I have stated before, Deb and Dee are the queens of cognitive dissonance. Wade is a follower of Jon Zens who was one of the core four of the Australian Forum that launched the New Calvinist movement of which they claim to refute. Wade is also an advocate for Puritanism while Deb and Dee claim to be advocates for abused women. They are beyond hot mess.

I think Wade is whatever he needs to be depending on the audience/timing. I thought he came across very antinomian for years. Molested a kid? Just say sorry and it’s full on repentance because we are all sinners! I think that was all a bunch of virtue signaling . He was the guy advocating for “saved pedophiles” to come to church and he would provide them an escort. After all, saved sinners, sin!

And then there was his “God orchestrates your rape so good can come from it” shitck. Of course he didn’t say it like that but that was the exact meaning of what he was teaching with his flowery verbosity. Thank God there were some sane commenters back then that pointed it out and took him to task. No problem! He just tweaked his teaching! Because he is the blog “pastor”. Then there is his crusade about equality for women in ministry and being part of an equality protest at the last convention. So what was their message? They were begging male pastors to give them “agency”! Ha ha! Gee, I thought God and our constitution gave us “agency”. What these women really wanted was equal “power” in the corrupt institutions. Not only that but all these women signed the BFM 2000 in a petition Which explicitly states women cannot be pastors! Including Wade’s wife! You can’t make this stuff up. It’s complete total cognitive dissonance because there are cameras and an audience. They are SJW’s who make no sense! But it’s all the rage now. They have become thought police. TWW hates authoritarian churches ( which are voluntary) but loves authoritarian government! ( which isn’t voluntary)

But in the end, Nothing matters more than just being a real “nice” guy or gal because reason and principles don’t matter. Excuse me while I go take a shower. It’s disgusting. In the long run, They do more harm than good.

Overall, the institutions can’t be saved. They exist to grow and maintain themselves. They teach the opposite of reason, critical thinking, etc. People don’t understand that when their church or group says they are inclusive it doesn’t mean what it really is about. Exclusion. There is a lack of diversity of “thought”.

Oh, he very clearly stated that God orchestrates child sexual abuse, and followed up with other dark, disgusting things as well. The fact that he is promoted there is the main reason why I shook the dust from my feet and took off from that blog years ago.

Btw, Deb is gone from TWW. I don’t know what happened but she didn’t even announce it herself or say goodbye to the readers there. The blog post Dee wrote announcing her departure, a few months back, seemed strange.

That blog, and many like them before, are excellent studies in group sociology and psychology. Also from the standpoint of how such groups are formed. It’s hard work not to become part of groupthink. There have been one or two infrequent commenters there doing a deep dive on the historical evolution of doctrine that are very interesting.
