“Chantry then proceeded to pull down the boy’s pants…”. That’s the most disturbing/evil thing I’ve read today. Pervert, anyone? Demonic, anyone? Anti-biblical, anyone? Evil, anyone? Criminal, anyone?
It’s an institution problem that’s systemic. It’s beyond frustrating to watch these people who want to end spiritual abuse but keep looking to the same institutional type church to end it. A common refrain is that we need more women in leadership. While I don’t have a problem with that I think it is naïve and false security. The egalitarian female leaders at Willow Creek were about saving the “institution” when the Billy Hybels situation came out. It’s the individual vs the institution. And people call that Christianity.
